Job summary

Numerator is seeking an experienced Linux Sys Admin/Oracle DBA to own the application and database infrastructure across Production and Non-Production environments. You will partner with the Application Infrastructure Manager to shape technical direction and deliver scalable solutions.

The role focuses on Linux server administration, Oracle database management, and proactive performance tuning to support business growth and reliability in a dynamic tech environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Linux system administration and Oracle DBA roles.
• Experience in enterprise or complex technology environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the administration, support, and optimisation of Linux servers and Oracle database environments.
• Manage Oracle databases including installation, configuration, patching, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
• Define an effective infrastructure support and maintenance strategy with the Application Infrastructure Manager.
• Support Production and Non-Production environments ensuring high availability and resilience, including out-of-hours support.
• Monitor system and database performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and reporting solutions with meaningful operational metrics.
• Develop automation tools to optimise the infrastructure.
• Support high availability and disaster recovery solutions (RMAN, Data Guard, clustering, load balancing).
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and procedures.
