Northern Base is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to support large UNIX-based Oracle environments in Charlotte, NC. The role emphasizes RAC, performance tuning, and GoldenGate 23AI configurations, with on-call pager duties and automation via shell scripting and Perl.

Candidates should bring 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience, 5+ years with Oracle RAC on UNIX, and hands-on experience with upgrading RAC and GoldenGate. Proficiency with OEM, Toad, and SQL Developer is a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience in large UNIX environments.
• 5+ years of Oracle RAC on UNIX environments.
• Experience with Oracle performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience upgrading Oracle RAC 19c/23AI and GoldenGate 23AI environments.
• Experience configuring GoldenGate.
• Experience building and supporting Oracle Dataguard.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 support for large Oracle environments and on-call pager duties.
• Lead Oracle RAC operations on UNIX environments and ensure high availability.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization for complex workloads.
• Upgrade and maintain Oracle RAC 19c/23AI and GoldenGate 23AI environments.
• Configure GoldenGate and Dataguard to secure data replication and DR.
• Develop shell scripting and Perl automation to streamline tasks.
• Use Oracle tools like OEM, Toad, and SQL Developer for monitoring and maintenance.
