Job summary

BLN24 seeks an Oracle Database Administrator to support enterprise Oracle environments in Washington, DC, with a focus on Oracle technologies, middleware, BI reporting, and OCI migrations.

The role requires 4+ years of Oracle database and middleware administration, strong SQL/PL-SQL, and experience with Unix/Linux environments. On-site at the DOE OIG HQ in DC, with after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Active Oracle Certified Professional certification.
• 4+ years of Oracle database and middleware administration experience.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming skills.
• Experience with Oracle Database, Oracle WebLogic, and Oracle Middleware.
• Experience developing BI reports and optimizing database performance.
• Experience with Oracle database upgrades, migrations, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Basic Microsoft SQL Server experience.
• Experience supporting Unix, Linux, and Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Oracle Database, WebLogic Server, and Oracle Middleware.
• Support Oracle database and middleware upgrades and migrations to OCI.
• Design and maintain Oracle database applications and BI reports.
• Experience with UNIX and Linux administration.
• Perform database performance tuning, patching, upgrades, backup/recovery, and health monitoring.
• Support enterprise web applications and Oracle mid-tier technologies.
• Provide limited SQL Server development and administration support.
• Develop SQL and PL/SQL code, including stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers.
• Troubleshoot database, middleware, and application issues across Linux and Windows environments.
