Job summary

Cencora is seeking an experienced Lead Administrator, Database Administration to oversee Oracle and related Oracle/SAP landscapes. You will define standards, lead architecture design, and drive performance optimization while interfacing with Oracle and internal stakeholders.

The role requires deep Oracle expertise, seven years of leadership in architecture, and the ability to plan capacity. Travel up to 15%; excellent coordination with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Normally requires 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in leading architecture design and implementation.
• Must have experience with Oracle RAC installation and support.
• Experience with Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Advanced Compression, Oracle Identity Management, and Oracle Enterprise Manager tools is a plus.
• Candidates should also have experience with 3rd party bolt-on applications including Vendavo, StreamServe, and EDI.
• Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for Oracle database issues and drive resolution.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Actively manage performance of Oracle databases including capacity planning and tuning.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure software consistency across the Oracle landscape.
• Participate in IT Change Management and approve Oracle-related changes.
• Stay updated on Oracle database technology trends.
• Interface with Oracle for product support/questions as needed.
• Define solutions by writing functional specifications and consulting SMEs.
• Advise on options, risks, costs vs benefits and impact on business processes.
• Perform related duties and travel up to 15%.
