Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6–8 years in Oracle Database Engineering/Administration/SRE.
• Deep Oracle 19c expertise: RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, HA/DR design.
• Strong Python and/or Shell scripting for automation.
• Experience leading complex database changes and upgrades.
• Strong security, observability, capacity planning for cloud-scale ops.
• Proven technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent English communication in demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and operational management for Oracle database fleets.
• Drive Oracle 19c performance analysis, tuning, diagnostics, and reliability improvements.
• Design and implement database architecture, access methods, and security standards.
• Build automation tooling with Python and Shell scripting.
• Lead upgrades, patches, and architectural changes for databases.
• Define long-range capacity and availability requirements with OCI owners.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis for production issues.
• Mentor engineers and establish runbooks and best practices.
• Collaborate with Compute, Storage, Networking, Governance, and OCI teams.
