Job summary

Veracity Engineering seeks an experienced DBA / Application Developer to support the FAA ATO Cybersecurity Group. The role covers full lifecycle design, development, and maintenance of Oracle-based databases and web apps for critical cybersecurity operations.

Ideal candidates have deep Oracle expertise, application development experience, and a background in government cybersecurity environments. This position offers growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related IT field; 5 years experience may substitute.
• Master’s degree or MBA may substitute for degree and 3 years experience.
• PhD in related field may substitute for degree and 7 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database schemas including tables, triggers, stored procedures, packages, and jobs.
• Implement and maintain Oracle AQ for XML processing and PL/SQL notifications.
• Apply Oracle Flashback for deployment management and recovery.
• Perform Oracle database upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
• Develop Oracle APEX web applications for cybersecurity data management.
• Develop Java applications for database operations and integration tasks.
• Write and maintain PL/SQL for data export and migration.
• Develop Excel macros to transform large datasets for uploads.
• Enforce RBAC and data governance in application layers.
• Reverse engineer and rehost legacy apps with minimal documentation.
• Support cybersecurity toolsets and Archer platform data migration and integration.
• Manage access to tools and data repositories per FAA/DOT policies.
• Provide guidance and training to other developers and DBAs.
• Assist Linux admins with patching and environment issues.
• Maintain project management using Redmine; create user docs.
• Lead or senior contributor on database and application projects.
