Job summary

Semper Valens Solutions in Overland, MO seeks an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to support administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of Oracle databases for Army systems and web apps. This on-site role requires an active Secret clearance.

You will implement backup/recovery, performance tuning, security controls, and work with developers to design robust data solutions. Collaboration with cybersecurity for RMF/STIG compliance is key; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 10 years of experience administering Oracle/SQL environments and supporting enterprise apps.
• Active DOD SECRET clearance and IA certifications (SEC+ or higher).
• Experience with Windows, Unix, Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of HTML, ASP, .NET and JavaScript is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle database environments for availability and security.
• Install, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot Oracle DB systems and related components.
• Develop and optimize schemas, PL/SQL code, and queries for enterprise apps.
• Perform backup, recovery, DR, and BC operations to ensure data availability.
• Analyze performance and tuning using execution plans and indexing strategies.
• Collaborate with developers to design database solutions and enhancements.
• Establish documentation, data dictionaries, and configuration baselines.
• Support RMF, STIG, and cybersecurity compliance activities.
