Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is seeking a Senior Database Developer to design and build a new platform for fixed income analytics. The role focuses on Oracle-based data models, PL/SQL, and data integration within a Python/Java-centric environment.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, lead data solutions, and ensure scalable, high-performance data processing, with Agile practices and on-site work expectations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a database developer on Oracle.
• Strong SDLC practices and quality-focused delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience on Linux and Windows.
• Deep Oracle functionality including design, forms, partitions, constraints, indexing, tuning, PL/SQL.
• ETL development and automation experience.
• Proficient in scripting; basic Java and Python a plus.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with key business and technology stakeholders to define functional and technical design.
• Work closely with software engineering team and senior leadership to design and implement data solutions.
• Develop technical specifications for physical relational data models on Oracle database that demonstrate a keen awareness of RDBMS design principles and performance-tuning.
• Design data models, implement PLSQL procedures on the latest versions of Oracle and Postgress databases.
• Develop, maintain and support the data used by our systems
• Work with the development team to tailor the design and implement in Oracle for efficient access from Java.
• Triage, diagnose and remediate system and performance issues in a timely manner
• Lead and/or participate in project efforts using an Agile development methodology.
• Be a trusted expert in loading large volumes of data in an efficient manner.
• Develop system and training documentation as needed.
• Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to support project timelines and deliver efforts on time.
• Provide technical support or provide subject matter expertise to other team members as needed.
