Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) is seeking a Senior Developer to join a team building analytics workflows for mortgage and market microstructure data. The role covers requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and production support, with a focus on data processing, databases, and scripting.

The ideal candidate has strong programming skills (Python, Java, SQL) and experience with Spark SQL, Parquet, and cloud tools.

Qualifications

• Advanced or basic degree in a quantitative field such as CS, EE, Information sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, or related.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and propose technical solutions within cost, time, and quality constraints.
• Convert data formats for analytics suitability.
• Create experimental frameworks to collect data and automate data collection.
• Remove corrupted data and fix coding errors.
• Search large data sets for meaningful information.
• Create reports and presentations for business use cases.
• Apply statistical tools to identify patterns and trends in data sets.
• Develop and maintain data systems and organize data in readable formats.
• Collaborate with project managers to estimate tasks and deliverables.
• Write unit tests and ensure best practices in software development.
• Collaborate with QA and other developers for full-cycle testing.
• Continuously improve system performance and propose better solutions.
• Interact with business/ops to solve design and operational challenges.
• Brainstorm ML/AI/NLP innovations for quantitative analysis and surveillance.
• Prototype new algorithms and write code for ML/AI/NLP/LLM solutions.
