Job summary

OMH is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Developer for on-site Albany, NY. The role focuses on upgrading legacy Oracle databases, splitting schemas per application, and preserving user access.

You'll perform extensive performance tuning, PL/SQL development, and build/maintain PHI-containing tables. You will also work with government financial data and Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting systems, including NCPDP transactions and PeopleSoft interfaces.

Qualifications

• 36 months upgrading Oracle databases to current versions.
• 84 months Oracle performance tuning and indexing strategies.
• 84 months Oracle design, PL/SQL, stored procedures, packages, indexes, triggers.
• 84 months handling PHI in healthcare environments.
• 84 months working with government financial data budgets, encumbrances, payments.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade legacy Oracle databases and split schemas per application with proper access preservation.
• Tune performance by analyzing slow SQL, creating partitions and indexes, and rewriting queries.
• Design and maintain Oracle tables, PL/SQL code, procedures, and triggers.
• Maintain Oracle tables containing PHI in healthcare environments.
• Maintain government financial data schemas with large budgets and encumbrances.
• Support Medicare cost reporting interfaces incl. NCPDP transactions.
• Build data interfaces to PeopleSoft financial systems.
• Contribute to cost reporting applications for Medicare/Medicaid.
