Job Summary
Our client, a leading energy and utility provider, is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join their team. This position will support critical Operational Technology (OT) database environments across Distribution, Transmission, Nuclear, and other regulated business areas.

Core Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases across development, test, and production environments
- Perform database backup, recovery, performance tuning, and capacity planning activities
- Implement and support business continuity, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions
- Install database patches, upgrades, and enhancements while maintaining system stability
- Conduct database audits and ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance standards are met
- Partner with application support teams, developers, architects, and technical managers on project initiatives
- Provide data management consultation and recommendations to improve database performance and reliability
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- 8+ years of database administration experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Hands‑on experience administering Oracle databases, including backup/recovery, performance tuning, and business continuity
- Hands‑on experience administering SQL Server databases, including backup/recovery, performance tuning, and business continuity
- Experience supporting production database environments and implementing database maintenance strategies
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
- Experience with data governance, data integrity, and database capacity planning
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
- Oracle 12c, 19c, and 21c administration experience
- SQL Server 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022 administration experience
- Experience with Oracle ASM, RAC, and Data Guard technologies
- Experience with SQL Server Always On, clustering, replication, mirroring, and log shipping
- Experience performing Oracle and SQL Server major version upgrades and migrations
- Proficiency with T-SQL, PL/SQL, PowerShell, and Shell scripting
- Experience administering PostgreSQL and MySQL databases

Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $40.00 and $57.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
