Job description

We are seeking a Senior Oracle APEX Developer to support a major federal IT program delivering critical application and infrastructure services. You’ll work alongside technical teams and program leadership to develop and maintain enterprise applications using Oracle APEX, supporting a range of federal agency missions.

This role is best suited for a self-starter who thrives in a structured, secure, and high-impact environment and can collaborate effectively with both technical teams and government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom Oracle applications using Oracle APEX (v21+)
• Create dynamic, user-friendly reports and interfaces using jQuery, JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, and CSS
• Write and optimize PL/SQL, as well as scripts in PowerShell and Unix shell
• Support Oracle database objects and manage unstructured data (e.g., BLOBs, CLOBs, JSON, XMLType)
• Work with Oracle SQL Developer and Toad for day-to-day development tasks
• Build secure applications utilizing HTTPS, certificates, and advanced integration
• Deliver applications that automate workflows and solve mission-critical problems
• Interface with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into technical solutions
• Document all system processes and support Agile project delivery

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience (degree or equivalent experience accepted)
• Proven expertise with Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, and Oracle 11g+
• Proficient in scripting with PowerShell, Unix shell, and working with Oracle IDEs
• Solid understanding of secure development practices in an Oracle environment
• Strong communication, documentation, and Agile collaboration skills
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• US Citizenship or Green Card required (per federal clearance standards)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Forms & Reports 10g+
• Background working on DOJ or other federal agency contracts
• Experience with BI Publisher, web services integration, and APEX 4.0+
• Familiarity with DOJ security clearance processes
