Job summary

Banner Health's Surg-Hosp in Tucson, AZ is seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist. The role includes selecting and supplying instruments during surgery, scrubbing in, and supporting OR turnover.

Eligible staff may participate in training and mentoring of students in the surgical tech program. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, current BLS certification, and either certification as a surgical technologist or 2–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with current basic life support certification.
• Certified surgical technologist or 2–3 years of experience as a surgical technologist.
• Where applicable, registration with State Regulatory Agency.

Responsibilities

• Selects and places surgical instruments, supplies and equipment during surgery.
• Scrubs and provides instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Trains and orients surgical technology staff and students as assigned.
• Scrubs proficiently in at least two surgical specialties.
• Assist with OR turnover and stocking of supplies.
