Optimus Technologies, a leader in clean energy solutions, is seeking a Director of Service Operations in Pittsburgh. This role focuses on optimizing field service operations and building partnerships to enhance service delivery for their innovative Vector and SMARTFuel Systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diesel systems and a passion for alternative energy.
Optimus Technologies is a clean energy technology company based in Pittsburgh, PA. Optimus manufactures the Vector System, an advanced fuel system technology that enables diesel engines to operate on 100% biodiesel. The Vector System is designed for medium and heavy-duty fleet applications, where emissions reductions are challenging or impossible to achieve in a cost-effective manner through other means. The Vector System integrates into existing operations to facilitate a seamless transition to low-carbon fuels.
Optimus’ Vector System is in use with leading municipal and private fleets throughout the country, enabling them to achieve near-zero carbon emissions while reducing their fuel and fleet operating costs.
Optimus Technologies is seeking a strategic, technically skilled, and people-focusedDirector of Service Operationsto lead both our internal Field Services team and our growing network of external vendors and service partners. This critical leadership role is equally focused on optimizing hands-on field execution and building the scalable external infrastructure necessary to support installation, diagnostics, maintenance, and support of our Vector and SMARTFuel Systems.
In addition to overseeing daily operations and leading our Field Service Diesel Technicians, the Director will proactivelydevelop and strengthen relationships with third-party installers, service providers, and fleet maintenance partners to ensure nationwide support readiness and service excellence.The Director will also serve as a primary collaborator with internal stakeholders—Engineering, Product Development, Operations, and Customer Success—to translate field insights into actionable product and process improvements.
This role requires a forward-thinking leader with a systems mindset—someone who thrives at the intersection of people, data, and process. Success in this role means delivering an exceptional service experience for customers, improving system uptime and performance, and helping to shape the future of Optimus’ product and service offerings through data-driven insight and strategic execution.
This is a full-time position to be based in Pittsburgh, PA.
