Job summary

Vantage Group Holdings Ltd. is seeking a Senior AVP, Underwriter – Cyber to underwrite complex Cyber, Tech E&O, and Media accounts and to mentor junior underwriters. You will manage broker relationships, market activity, and growth initiatives from the Southeast/Atlanta metro area.

The role offers a base salary range of $120,000 to $200,000 with performance-based bonus potential, comprehensive benefits, retirement plan, and a flexible work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• 5+ years of related insurance underwriting experience in Cyber/Tech E&O/Media.
• Advanced knowledge of Cyber insurance.
• Experience developing and launching new programs into the market space.
• Established broker/client network in the Southeast/Atlanta area.

Responsibilities

• Meet profitability, retention, and written premium goals for an assigned portfolio of complex accounts.
• Exercise independent underwriting judgment within a senior authority and maintain proper file documentation.
• Articulate the Vantage value proposition and maintain in-depth product knowledge.
• Lead and participate in projects, mentoring junior underwriters.

About the role

At Vantage, the Senior /or AVP, Underwriter – Cyber will underwrite complex Cyber, Tech E&O, and Media accounts in line with the strategies set forth within the team, exercising sound, independent judgment on larger and more complex risks. In addition, they will be responsible for broker relationships through continued customer service and marketing activities, mentoring junior underwriters, and collaborating with Vantage colleagues to achieve organizational and business goals.

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $200,000. Actual base salary for the selected candidate will be commensurate with experience and expectations. • Exercise independent underwriting judgment within a senior letter of authority and maintain proper file documentation.
• Articulate the Vantage value proposition and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all products and services.
• Lead and participate in projects, taking ownership of larger or more complex initiatives.
• Mentor and support the development of junior underwriters.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve goals and drive cross-sell opportunities.
• Lead the creation and execution of growth strategies by identifying areas of opportunity.
• Provide exceptional service to our brokers and client partners.
• Effectively negotiate terms and conditions with brokers on complex accounts.
• Drive efficiencies and process improvements with a data and technology focus.
• Lead and create a high performing team environment focused on diversity and inclusion.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• 5+ years of related insurance underwriting experience, with a focus on Cyber, Tech E&O, or Media.
• Advanced knowledge of Cyber insurance.
• Experience developing and launching new programs into the market space.
• Established network of broker and client contacts in the Southeast/Atlanta Metro area.
• Experience with digital platforms and driving results through automation.
• Proven leadership experience with a focus on growing and developing team members to drive outstanding results and create an inclusive environment.
• Ability to process and adapt to change in a rapid growth company environment. Vantage associates are expected to be curious, thrifty, and resourceful to manage through the unknowns of growing a specialty (re)insurance business from the ground up.
