Job summary

TeraHop is seeking a Sr. System Engineer specializing in switch-side optical transceiver validation, performance optimization, and interoperability.

You will develop and execute test plans for optical modules on data center switches, verify performance and reliability, and debug system-level issues using Python scripting for test automation. You will work with design and firmware teams to ensure Terahop's optical modules meet rigorous requirements in customer deployments, and you will regularly

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's in Optical/Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data processing.
Understanding of CMIS and optical module architecture.
Ability to work independently on test planning and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans for switch-side optical transceiver qualification.
Configure, validate, and debug optical modules on data center switches (e.g., NVIDIA, Arista, Celestica) running SONiC, EOS, ONIE or similar systems.
Automate test execution, data logging, and analysis using Python scripts.
Verify compliance with CMIS, SFF-8636, and other standards.
Analyze results and prepare qualification reports for stakeholders.
Replicate and troubleshoot customer-side module issues in the lab.
Present qualification results to customer engineering teams.
