Job summary

North Wind Services LLC is seeking an Engineering Technician V to perform rigorous optical inspections in a cleanroom environment. You will inspect finished surfaces, document findings, and generate NCRs when required, ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications.

Candidates should have an AS or equivalent in optical/mechanical tech, strong attention to detail, and experience with measurement tools like microscopes and comparator cards.

Qualifications

• AS or equivalent in Optical or Mechanical technologies.
• Experience with production technologies and evaluating/testing processes.
• Ability to work safely, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.
• Strong documentation and data recording skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming and outgoing inspection of optics per procedures and drawings.
• Inspect surfaces for flaws: scratches, digs, stains, haze, inclusions, cracks, chips.
• Inspect optics for surface contamination prior to defect inspection.
• Verify optic serial numbers and align records to part orientation.
• Review drawings and requirements before starting inspection.
• Document defects and contamination with precise location and size.
