Arycs Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior / Staff Supplier Development Engineer – Optical Modules to lead qualification, development, and scaling of suppliers for advanced optical modules from prototype to high-volume production.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to define robust supplier processes, improve yield and cycle times, and drive cost reductions across global supplier networks. 30–50% travel to supplier sites is required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 7–12+ years of experience in supplier development, manufacturing engineering, or supplier quality.
• Experience in optical modules, optoelectronics, or semiconductor/photonics manufacturing.
• Experience with contract manufacturers (e.g., Fabrinet, Foxconn, Flex).
• Knowledge of yield improvement and production ramp, SPC, DOE, Cp/Cpk, and root cause methodologies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end supplier development for optical modules and critical subcomponents (OSA, lasers, PICs, packaging).
• Evaluate and qualify new suppliers across technical capability, manufacturing readiness, and process control maturity.
• Drive supplier industrialization from prototype to NPI to volume production.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers and suppliers to develop scalable manufacturing processes, improve yield, reduce cycle time and cost, and establish process capability metrics.
• Define and enforce supplier quality requirements, including qualification plans and reliability testing (HTOL, thermal cycling).
• Drive continuous improvement in defect reduction and long-term product reliability.
• Partner with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to align design, readiness, and ramp.
• Support supplier roadmap development and dual-sourcing strategies.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including capacity and geopolitical exposure.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives through process and design optimization.
