Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Corp. in Boulder, Colorado seeks a Senior Metrology Engineer to oversee transfer of metrology tools from development to production, implement IQ/OQ/PQ qualifications, and drive process control and documentation for optical components.

The role requires at least a Bachelor's in Physics/Optics and extensive experience in optical metrology; proficiency with LabVIEW and Python, Gauge R&R, and SPC. You will train technicians and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Physics, Optics, or related field; advanced degree desirable.
10 years experience with optical metrology desirable.
Proficiency with metrology automation programming (LabVIEW, Python) desirable.

Responsibilities

Serve as SME for optical metrology across surface metrology, spectrophotometry, and laser measurement.
Support transfer of metrology tools and processes from development to production.
Drive continuous improvement of metrology, process controls, reliability and uptime.
Create and improve documentation for measurement and quality control of optical components.
Train technicians on tools and processes for optical metrology.
Conduct Gauge R&R and similar verification studies for tool/process validation.
