Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in R&D, instrumentation engineering, optical systems, or related product development.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, applied sciences, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong optics understanding including light scattering and its measurement applications.
• Advanced mathematical and analytical capabilities for deriving and solving complex equations.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, or improving scientific or industrial instrumentation.
• Hands-on experience with electronics and lab test equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Experience with experimental design, data analysis, and instrument performance evaluation.

• Research and development activities for environmental monitoring instruments and measurement technologies.
• Design, develop, and optimize optical measurement systems using light scattering and absorption.
• Evaluate new technologies and components for potential product integration.
• Drive product development from concept through prototyping, validation, and production readiness.
• Improve existing instrument designs for accuracy, reliability, and performance.
• Apply optical principles and mathematical modeling to instrument design and evaluation.
• Develop calibration methods, measurement algorithms, and verification procedures.
• Independently assemble, modify, and troubleshoot electronic and optical prototypes.
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to ensure successful product development.
