Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in optical engineering.
• Proficiency with Zemax and Code V for optical design and analysis.
• Experience with imaging or illumination systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop optical systems and components (lenses, assemblies).
• Analyze and optimize optical trains from source to sensor.
• Run optical simulations with Zemax, Code V or equivalents.
• Evaluate performance, identify improvements and troubleshoot issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and drive resolution.
• Guide design trade-offs and feasibility discussions.
• Identify and engage suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Support U.S. supply chain development and vendor audits.
• Collaborate with suppliers on design, manufacturability, and delivery.
• Own optical engineering tasks, estimate effort and timelines.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
• Advise on outsourcing, prototyping and production strategies.
