Job summary

Role covers optical design and component selection for light delivery and imaging, collaborating with hardware, software and research teams to advance diagnostic technologies. Contract, onsite, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in medical device product development.
• Experience in machine vision and imaging systems.
• Proficient with Zemax and SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of design controls and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to optical and optomechanical design of corneal crosslinking devices from concept to manufacturing hand-off.
• Collaborate with applied research, electrical, mechanical and software teams to meet goals.
• Use Zemax and SolidWorks for design and verification tasks.
• Develop test protocols and ensure verification/validation is aligned with design controls.
• Design production tooling and fixtures; support regulatory compliance activities.
• Provide technical direction and solve complex issues with minimal guidance.
