Job summary

L3Harris Aeromet, a division of L3Harris Technologies, is seeking an Optical Engineer to design, develop and test state-of-the-art EO/IR optical systems. You will coordinate with device, hardware and software teams to specify components, run performance benchmarks, and implement test procedures.

Training will be provided as part of a dedicated optics team working on airborne sensors. The role requires relocation to Tulsa, OK, is based on-site, and may involve 9/80 scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Optical Engineering, physics, or related field; 2+ years in optical systems; or Graduate Degree with 0–2 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops and tests optical technologies and systems.
• Interacts with design teams to specify and qualify components.
• Develops and benchmarks performance models; documents changes via ECR/ECN.
