Job summary

Applied Training Solutions at Fort Bragg, NC seeks a Senior Operations Subject Matter Expert for Mission Command Exercises to support the Special Operations Mission Training Center Facility.

You will advise planners on doctrine and operational art, lead the development of complex training scenarios, and ensure realistic replication of mission command systems and MDMP processes.

US citizenship and a Secret clearance are required; the role operates in a high-security environment at Fort Bragg.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; fifteen years of related military experience may substitute for academic degree.
• Graduate of U.S. Army Special Forces Qualifying Course and/or senior military education courses; or equivalent Special Forces education.
• Experience in Special Operations Forces or related branches (SOF, Intelligence, Logistics, Field Artillery).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior operations SME for SOF Mission Command Exercises (MCX/MRX) advising planners and leadership on doctrine, operartional art, and integration of SOF capabilities from battalion to SOJTF.
• Lead development and refinement of complex training scenarios, ensuring realistic replication of mission command systems, MDMP processes, command post operations, and multi-domain challenges.
• Synchronize warfighting functions within the exercise environment and integrate intelligence, fires, sustainment, IO, and joint considerations to mirror real-world SOF missions.
• Mentor exercise planners and provide expert feedback during MRX operations and contribute to After Action Reviews.
