Job summary

Chimera Enterprises International in Colorado is seeking a Senior OPIR Systems Engineer to provide expert-level systems engineering and advisory support for persistent sensor operations and OPIR-ground systems within NGA-Denver’s Persistence Office.

You will define requirements, develop CONOPS, guide design, integration, test, and verification, and deliver IV&V and risk assessments to inform acquisition and deployment decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 15+ years experience may substitute.
• 10+ years supporting Major Systems Acquisition-level IC/DoD.
• Recent (past 5 years) TCPED/OPIR experience preferred.
• Active TS//SCI with CI Polygraph or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with government, FFRDC, contractor, and international partners on OPIR solutions.
• Define, analyze, and document system requirements and CONOPS.
• Support design, integration, and test & verification for OPIR ground systems.
• Provide independent IV&V of system deliverables against requirements.
• Support source selection by reviewing acquisition strategies and proposals.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks related to performance, schedule, and budget.
• Lead cross-functional teams to align enterprise OPIR capabilities.
