Job summary

Allen Integrated Solutions seeks a Senior Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Research Engineer to advance EO/IR sensing, data exploitation, and algorithm development for NGA programs. The role requires deep experience with OPIR data, signal processing, and AI/ML techniques.

The candidate will lead prototyping of advanced data-processing algorithms, collaborate with DoD and IC partners, and produce technical papers and transition plans for fielded systems.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (computer engineering, physics, CS) required.
• At least 10 years of EO/IR algorithm development experience.
• Advanced understanding of EO/IR signal processing, AI/ML applications, and target-system phenomenology.
• Detailed experience with OPIR data formats and processing pipelines.
• Advanced Python development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead prototyping and development of OPIR data-processing algorithms for transition to operations.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot data-processing pipelines and coordinate remediation.
• Develop white papers, technical documentation, and technology-transition plans.
• Collaborate with DoD stakeholders, Intelligence Community, and external agencies.
