Job summary

Fortrea is seeking an Ophthalmology Senior Clinical Research Associate (CRA) with 5+ years of clinical monitoring experience to cover the East Coast region in the United States. The role involves on-site monitoring, site management, and ensuring regulatory compliance for oncology-focused early-phase trials.

Responsibilities include initiating visits, monitoring visits, data verification, SAE reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of clinical monitoring experience.
• Oncology experience, early phase preferred.
• 30–50% overnight travel required.
• University or college degree or related allied health certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of site monitoring including routine monitoring, initiation visits, close-out, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee site management per project plans and ensure proper materials and instructions for patient enrollment.
• Conduct on-site monitoring to ensure protocol adherence and data integrity.
• Ensure informed consent procedures and protocol requirements are followed according to regulatory requirements.
• Verify data integrity on Case Report Forms and other data tools; monitor for missing or implausible data.
• Coordinate with local sites and vendors; may assist with training of new staff.
• Support SAE reporting and data queries per management guidelines.
• Travel to sites as required; act as Local Project Coordinator with supervision.
