Job summary

UCI Health seeks an ophthalmic imaging technician to operate imaging devices and assist physicians in documenting eye diseases. The role supports specialized testing and imaging workflows, including OCT and corneal topography, ensuring accurate data capture for diagnosis and treatment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in ophthalmic photography or technician work, and hold a COA certification or related credentials; Basic Life Support is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years photography experience or two years ophthalmic technician experience.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Completion of two year training in photography or medical/biomedical photography or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate ophthalmic imaging equipment to document and track eye diseases.
• Assist with specialized patient testing (OCT, corneal topography, angiography) as needed.
• Support physicians in patient care and data documentation.
