Job summary

Baxter is seeking a Principal Engineer, OpEx in Skaneateles, NY. This role leads continuous improvement across manufacturing, driving Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

You will manage OpEx projects, mentor teams, and communicate progress to executives. Requirements include 7+ years in CI/ops, Lean Six Sigma certification, and experience with GMP/FDA regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing; a master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in continuous improvement, process engineering, or operations management in medical device/healthcare.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Black Belt or Master Black Belt) or equivalent.
• Experience with quality management systems and regulatory requirements in medical devices.
• Proficiency in statistical tools such as Minitab/JMP.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and operations to improve efficiency and quality.
• Develop and implement CI strategies (Lean, Six Sigma) to meet objectives.
• Lead Lean Daily Management System processes throughout the organization.
• Manage OpEx projects from inception to completion with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends and prepare reports for senior management.
