Job summary

ANSER is seeking a Senior Operations Research Analyst to support NAWCAD at Webster Outlying Field (WOLF). The role focuses on mathematical modeling, optimization, data analysis, and development of decision-support software to aid management decisions and program evaluations.

You will work in a hybrid setting with several days in the office and commute within ~50 miles of the Webster Field area, contributing to C5ISR-related mission support.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree plus 10+ years of relevant DoD-related experience or a bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of related experience.

Position Summary

ANSER is seeking a Senior Operations Research Analyst to support the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Webster Outlying Field (WOLF), Special Communications Mission Solutions (SCMS) Division. The SCMS Division operates as the organic Lead Systems Integrator (oLSI®) and provides in-service engineering, maintenance, repair, and rebuild of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems.
In this role, you will formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that supports management decision-making, policy formulation, and other managerial functions. You will collect and evaluate data, develop decision-support products and methodologies, and support Division objectives through analytical approaches and information-sharing practices.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information supporting management decision-making, policy formulation, and other managerial functions.
• Collect and evaluate data to support management decision-making and Division objectives.
• Develop decision-support software, services, and/or products.
• Develop and supply optimal time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, or implementation, as applicable.
• Develop appropriate methodologies, frameworks, and approaches to address Division objectives and drive toward results.
• Apply analytical methodologies and frameworks to support Division requirements and objectives.
• Reinforce Division information-sharing objectives to support an environment focused on net-centricity, data sharing, and collaboration.
• Support the use of data and analytical information to inform management functions and decision-making.
• Develop and interpret analytical information using mathematical modeling and optimization methods.
• Support program evaluation, review, and implementation through applicable analytical and optimization techniques.

Only candidates who currently reside within a reasonable commuting distance to job location (50 miles) will be considered. This positions requires hybrid work schedule with several days a week in the office.

Required Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Master’s degree in any discipline plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; OR a bachelor’s degree plus 4 additional years of experience related to the position’s duties may substitute for a master’s degree.
• Experience applying mathematical modeling and optimizing methods to support management decision-making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions.
• Experience collecting and evaluating data to support analytical and decision-support activities.
• Experience developing or supporting decision-support software, services, and/or products.
• Experience developing or applying methodologies, frameworks, and approaches to address organizational or Division objectives.
• Ability to apply analytical methods to support program evaluation, review, or implementation.
• Ability to support information-sharing objectives involving data sharing, collaboration, and net-centricity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience applying mathematical modeling, optimization, or other analytical methods in support of Government programs.

Full-Time Salary Range For This Position

$107,000—$155,000 USD
