Job summary

Hypertherm Associates is seeking a Senior Operations Planner to coordinate Planning, Procurement, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Production for the Waterjet business unit. You will forecast, plan, and deliver material requirements, generate work orders, and optimize the flow across manufacturing cells to meet lead times and service levels.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in planning, preferably in manufacturing.
• 2 years of experience using ERP within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong computer literacy with Excel.
• Strong written and verbal presentation and communication skills.
• Effective negotiation and collaboration skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to influence others.
• Knowledge of and experience in manufacturing environment with engineered parts.

Responsibilities

• Forecast, plan material requirements for forecasted orders with precision.
• Generate work orders and coordinate flow in manufacturing cells.
• Develop and refine supply replenishment methods; adjust Kanban quantities as needed.
• Apply lean planning techniques to minimize inventory while meeting lead times.
• Drive shortage resolutions, expedite processes, and communicate with real-time ERP updates.
• Analyze supply data, set item attributes, and ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Identify issues early and perform root cause analyses on inventory discrepancies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support business goals.
