Hypertherm Associates is seeking a Senior Operations Planner to coordinate Planning, Procurement, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Production for the Waterjet unit. You will forecast material requirements, generate work orders, and optimize Kanban to balance inventory and service levels.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of planning experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years of ERP experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Negotiation and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
• Experience in engineered parts manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Forecast, plan material requirements for forecasted orders.
• Generate work orders and coordinate flow in manufacturing cells.
• Develop and refine supply replenishment methods; adjust Kanban.
• Apply lean planning to minimize inventory and meet lead times.
• Drive shortage resolutions and expedite processes with ERP updates.

• Forecast, Plan, Deliver: Seamlessly plan material requirements for forecasted orders, ensuring every production demand is met with precision.
• Orchestrate Manufacturing Magic: Generate work orders and coordinate the flow in manufacturing cells, fine-tuning the rhythm of productivity.
• Innovate Inventory: Develop and refine supply replenishment methods. Adjust Kanban quantities like a maestro to maintain the perfect inventory harmony.
• Strategize and Streamline: Employ lean planning techniques to minimize inventory while meeting market expectations for lead times and service levels.
• Expedite Excellence: Drive shortage resolutions, expedite processes, and communicate proactively, keeping all stakeholders in the loop with real-time ERP updates.
• Analyze and Optimize: Set the stage for flawless production by analyzing supply data, setting item attributes, and ensuring a smooth supply chain.

Who You Are And The Experience You Bring

• 2-4 years of experience in planning
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2 years of experience using ERP within a manufacturing environment
• Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel
• Strong written and verbal presentation and communication skills
• Effective negotiation and collaboration skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to influence others
• Knowledge of and experience in manufacturing environment with engineered parts

Preferred Experience That Differentiates You

• B.S. Business Management or related field with 4+ years of experience
• Knowledge of Oracle ERP
• Knowledge of industrial equipment manufacturing
• Knowledge of Lean/JIT production
• APICS-CPIM

This is the base pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire.

Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.
