Job summary

COMMERCIAL CONTRACTING CORPORATION in Auburn Hills, Michigan, seeks an experienced Operations Manager for water and wastewater treatment plant construction. You will lead project teams through all lifecycle phases, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 15+ years of experience in municipal water and wastewater treatment plant construction.
• Experience with self-perform general contractor, design-build, construction management, and traditional GC delivery methods.
• Working knowledge of Sage 300, Procore, Prolog, and/or Contract Manager preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee project and program execution to ensure scope, budget, schedule, and contract compliance.
• Guide project teams through all phases of water and wastewater treatment plant construction.
• Manage project development, contract execution, financial performance, and close-out activities.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including CCC self-perform groups and subconsultants, to meet project objectives.
• Mentor and develop project staff to support growth and succession planning.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and quality delivery.
• Identify opportunities for additional scopes, innovative solutions, and follow-on work with clients.
• Support business development, including strategy, proposals, and contract negotiations.
• Oversee project financial performance, including budgeting, invoicing, and subconsultant management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and financial policies.
