Job summary

The Planet Group represents a mechanical contracting firm in the Detroit metro area seeking a Project Manager to lead water and wastewater projects in Farmington Hills, MI. This on-site role focuses on coordinating schedules, budgets, vendors, and field staff to ensure project success.

Responsibilities include reviewing vendor data, maintaining logs, preparing schedules and budgets, and coordinating with Owners, Contractors, Subcontractors, and Vendors to resolve issues and keep projects on

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a project manager within water/wastewater industry.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with solid organization and time management.
Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and schedules.

Responsibilities

Review vendor data and shop drawings for conformance to project plans and specifications.
Maintain Logs (Shop Drawings, Procurement, RFIs, RFQs, Change Orders).
Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets.
Supervise/Manage Employees, Subcontractors & Vendors.
Coordination of the work.
Maintain relationships with Owners, Contractors, Subcontractors, and Vendors.
Timely recognition of project issues.
Review drawings and specifications with the project team and highlight any areas of concern.
