Job summary

UNFI, the leading distributor of conventional, natural, organic and specialty products in the United States and Canada, is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee facility operations, leadership, and reporting systems. You will drive growth, manage budgets, and ensure safety and compliance across multiple sites.

You will lead a high-performance team, coordinate warehousing and transportation, and implement efficient processes to meet financial targets while maintaining strong vendor

Qualifications

• Five or more years of related experience in warehouse, distribution or logistics operations.
• Experience directing warehouse, facility and transportation for inbound/outbound operations.
• Knowledge of budgeting, contracts, and shipping requirements.
• Familiarity with OSHA, HACCP and SQF policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages warehouse, facility and transportation for both inbound and outbound operations.
• Implements cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.
• Manages capital asset maintenance and minimizes operating expenses.
• Develops and communicates growth strategies to achieve sales and profitability goals.
• Provides timely and accurate reports on operating conditions of the warehouse.
• Leads a high-performance management team and mentors staff.
• Maintains productive business relations with vendors and partners.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and company policies.
• Ensures safety and quality program adherence (OSHA/HACCP/SQF).
