Job summary

Belimo in Danbury seeks a Senior Operations Manager to lead the Danbury factory spanning manufacturing, logistics and systems teams. You will oversee 200+ employees and report to the Vice President, Logistics/Customization Americas, driving safety, cost efficiency and KPI performance.

You will develop strategies to optimize operations, lead lean initiatives, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless operations and superior customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of proven experience in operations management, preferably site leadership.
• Background in both manufacturing and logistics environments.
• Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA and SAP EWM.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Senior Operations Manager in Danbury is a key leader responsible for overseeing the daily operations at our Danbury factory, inclusive of manufacturing, logistics, and systems teams. In this role, you will directly oversee the managers of each department and guide a workforce of more than 200 skilled employees, cultivating a collaborative, high‑performing environment where people can do their best work. The Senior Operations Manager, Danbury reports directly to the Vice President, Logistics/ Customization Americas.

What You’ll Do

• Provide overall leadership and direction for multiple departments within the factory including assembly/manufacturing, logistics and systems.
• Overall site responsibility for safety, continuous improvement, and facilities functions
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving lean initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead and motivate a diverse organization of 200 + individuals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve departmental goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Plan and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and efficient allocation of materials and human resources.

Who You Are

• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of proven experience in operations management, preferably site leadership responsibilities.
• Background in both manufacturing and logistics environments.
• Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, customer focused‑driven environment.
• Proficiency in using technology and software applications relevant to operations management such as SAP S/4HANA and SAP EWM.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Belimo is committed to paying all employees in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. The base pay for this position ranges from $145,000 - $165,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 20% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
