Job summary

Senneca Holdings is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our custom manufacturing operation focused on commercial metal doors and frames. This hands-on leadership role oversees production, engineering support, inventory, safety, maintenance, quality, and workforce development.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in custom/made-to-order manufacturing where schedules and customer requirements demand technical expertise and discipline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in operations roles.
• Experience in custom, engineered-to-order or made-to-order manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, inventory control, and capacity management.
• Experience leading multiple departments through supervisors and team leads.
• Proven ability to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Experience implementing and maintaining safety programs in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with MS Office and production reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant operations with accountability for safety, quality, productivity, delivery, inventory and cost control.
• Direct multiple departments through supervisors and team leads to build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Customer Service to meet customer needs.
• Develop and execute capacity planning strategies to meet monthly and annual goals.
• Analyze workflow, identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency.
• Oversee scheduling, material planning, and inventory management to ensure on-time delivery.
• Drive safety initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Establish KPIs and monitor productivity, quality, scrap, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery.
• Manage maintenance activities and preventive maintenance for equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with HR on employee relations and development initiatives.
• Prepare and analyze operational reports and performance metrics for senior leadership.
