Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Sr. Manager, Operations for the USA, California site in San Pedro.

This full-time, on-site role operates on the 2nd shift (12:30pm-9:30pm) and leads multiple large-scale warehouse and distribution activities within Performance Team. Responsibilities include developing distribution center plans, managing P&L, budgets, and customer requirements, and ensuring policy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5–10 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• P&L experience highly desired.
• Spanish speaking skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains distribution center operations business plans to include all programs, P&L and customer requirements.
• Provides input to the development of customer relationship strategy and establishes production and quality control standards.
• Coordinates processing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of resources.
• Reviews production and operating reports and directs resolution of operational, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent delays.
• Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company policies and regulations.
