Job summary

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field, or equivalent work experience
• 8 years of related work experience
• Familiarity with utility operations is desirable
• Advanced Excel/Access skills, including complex formulas, graphing, and VBA
• Advanced SQL querying using Oracle or Business Objects
• UNIX shell programming skills (csh, awk, sed, vi)
• Statistical modeling to identify patterns in data
• Data-driven insights and mentorship to junior team members
• Knowledge of base SAS and programming languages such as Visual Basic, Perl, and C
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Master's degree is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manages very complex data analysis projects from request to presentation, within budget and on time
• Applies data processing expertise to develop strategy or resolve complex data issues
• Manages cross-functional data projects with company-wide impact
• Manages data extraction and transfer from databases to analysts
• Analyzes data with advanced statistical tools to create reports, trends, and profiles
• Develops comprehensive reports for long-term, company-wide issues and presents findings
• Acts as team lead and mentors junior members
• Collaborates with Senior Management on data-driven strategy
