Job summary

PG&E in Oakland is seeking a Manager/Principal level professional to lead data analytics strategy within the System Performance, Reliability and Resiliency Strategy team. You will extract data, maintain metrics tools, and deliver executive-ready insights for planning, budgeting, and reporting.

The role blends remote work with on-site presence in the Bay Area (Dublin/Oakland) 2-3 days weekly, with compensation benchmarks disclosed and discretionary incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Marketing, Business, CS, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of job-related experience.
• Masters degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with SAP.
• Advanced Excel/Access skills and VBA.
• SQL queries using Oracle or Business Objects.
• SAS knowledge and related programming (VB/Perl/C).
• Strong organization and communication for senior management.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex data analysis projects from request to results within budget and schedule.
• Apply advanced analytics platforms to develop strategy and data solutions.
• Lead cross-functional data projects with company-wide impact.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis through data.
• Extract and transfer data from databases to analysts for insights.
• Analyze data with advanced tools to create ad hoc reports and trends.
• Produce executive-ready insights and clear, actionable analyses.
• Demonstrate executive communication and leadership in data use.
