Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Consultant to join a respected management consultancy in Welkom, Free State. The role focuses on diagnosing operational challenges, designing improvement initiatives, and delivering sustainable results in a hybrid work setting.

You will lead data-driven efforts across supply chains, manufacturing, logistics, and service delivery, mentor junior staff, and build strong client relationships while traveling as needed to client sites.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, MBA or related field.
• 7+ years in operations management or management consulting with a strong operational focus.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, process re-engineering, or supply chain optimization.
• Proven success leading complex operational improvement projects with measurable results.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills; excellent communication.
• Willingness to travel to client sites; experience with clients in SA is a plus.
• Proficiency in analytical and modeling software.

• Proven expertise in areas such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, process re-engineering, supply chain optimization, or service operations.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex operational improvement projects and delivering measurable results.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in working with clients in the Free State region is a plus.
• Proficiency in relevant analytical and modeling software.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
