Job summary

The City of New Orleans is seeking a professional, administrative and supervisory individual to assist the Chief Operations Manager in directing and coordinating activities across the Benefits Administration Division, including life, health, and flexible benefits programs. This role requires strong coordination and policy adherence to federal guidelines and city objectives.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• Three (3) years of professional administrative experience, including at least one year assisting a Chief Operations Manager or a supervisor at or above pay grade 90.
• Four (4) years of professional administrative experience in a centralized human resources division with benefits program planning and administration; at least one year in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Operations Manager in directing and coordinating activities of Benefits Administration components.
• Maintain and oversee group policies for life insurance, healthcare, and voluntary products; ensure services meet policy and federal guidelines.
