Job summary

Owens & Minor is seeking a senior analytical professional to provide decision support across the enterprise. You will apply advanced mathematical and statistical techniques to develop service sensitivity models and translate findings into actionable recommendations that drive measurable improvements.

You will gather, manipulate and synthesize data from multiple sources, document methodologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence strategic decisions and operational changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics required.
• Ten or more years of applicable experience required.
• Master's Degree preferred; Lean/Six Sigma or TPS training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leverages business/analytical/system knowledge to develop and maintain data models and participates in discussions with cross-functional teams to understand and collaborate on business objectives and influence solution strategies.
• Integrates/transforms disparate data sources and determines the appropriate data hygiene techniques to apply.
• Thoroughly documents assumptions, methodology, validation and testing to facilitate peer reviews and training; subsequent analysts should be able to rely on documentation to replicate and continue work.
• Understands and adopts emerging technology and market shifts that can affect the application of scientific methodologies and/or quantitative analytical approaches to problem resolutions.
• Completes ad-hoc data analysis as determined by business need and/or management need.
• Recommendations typically have an impact on business results.
