OpenAI, Inc. is seeking a Senior Operations Analyst for User Safety & Risk Operations in San Francisco. You will tackle complex safety and risk problems, build scalable workflows, and lead cross-functional investigations to protect products and users.

You will work hands-on with data, contribute to incident response, and help design durable operational capabilities that scale with product launches and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in trust and safety operations, investigations, incident response, or related high-judgment, data-heavy roles.
• Strong data literacy, able to synthesize structured and unstructured signals with quantitative evidence.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills across product, engineering, legal, and policy teams.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of ambiguous, high-priority safety and risk problems and drive practical, scalable solutions.
• Analyze both qualitative and quantitative signals to identify risks and interventions.
• Build lightweight workflows, tools, and automation to improve speed, quality, and consistency.
• Turn manual work into scalable operating mechanisms with minimal added process.
• Lead investigations, incident response, or launch-readiness activities with cross-functional partners.
• Measure impact on outcomes and adjust strategies when needed.
• Coach junior operators to build judgment and reusable tools.
