About the Position: The Sr. Operations Analyst is the operational quarterback, leading cross-functional efforts to solve complex challenges and drive strategic initiatives across SPG Ancillary. This role dives deep to understand current processes, workflows, and team responsibilities — not to perform every function, but to be dangerous enough to recognize where roles intersect, how they are impacted, and how to bring the right stakeholders together for success. The Sr. Operations Analyst proactively identifies operational inefficiencies, champions change management, and partners across teams, brokers, carriers, and technology vendors to deliver smart, scalable solutions that elevate the client experience and internal efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional analysis of operational workflows, identifying pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.

  • Develop a deep working knowledge of departmental functions to understand when, where, and how teams will be impacted by new initiatives.

  • Proactively quarterback projects, pulling in the right stakeholders at the right time to ensure smooth execution and adoption.

  • Build and document current-state and future-state process maps, making operational complexity simple and actionable.

  • Partner with technology vendors and internal teams to evaluate and implement new solutions that drive operational excellence.

  • Deliver clear, data-driven recommendations to leadership on operational improvements, process reengineering, and tech integrations.

  • Track and report on project milestones, operational KPIs, and the impact of implemented changes.

  • Support and sometimes lead strategic projects aimed at scaling the business and enhancing the broker, carrier, and client experience.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, business analysis, consulting, client service or project management, preferably in employee benefits, insurance, or related industries.

  • Proven experience working cross-functionally to solve complex operational problems.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down workflows and identify root causes.

  • Skilled in stakeholder management, communication, and organizational influence.

  • Familiarity with technology platforms such as CRMs, quoting/enrollment systems, or operational databases a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.

Work Location: This is a 100% remote position working in your local time zone. Access to a local office may be available upon request.

Salary Transparency: The expected salary range for this position is $110,000-$150,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
