Job summary

Novolex in California is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage month-end close, create and post journal entries, and perform reconciliations. You will interact with manufacturing and warehousing teams throughout the month.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, 2+ years of operations accounting or inventory experience. SAP or ERP experience is a plus, with cross‑department collaboration essential.

• 2+ years of operations accounting or inventory experience sought.
• ERP/SAP experience is a plus and collaboration across departments is essential.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Create and post journal entries and accruals for month end responsibilities
• Significant interaction with manufacturing and warehousing throughout the month
• Perform account reconciliations for related accounts
• Assist in ERP integration efforts
• Report on inventory metrics at locations, i.e. reserves, cycle counts, etc.
• Assist with non-PO research in invoicing systems
• Create presentations/worksheets for executive status updates
• Possible travel to manufacturing and warehousing locations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• SAP or other ERP experience a plus
• 2+ years of operations accounting and/or inventory experience
• Ability to effectively interact with manufacturing, business units and other departments
