Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage monthly close for inventory, manufacturing costs, and global leases. You will own reconciliations, inventory cost accounting, and lease-related journal entries, ensuring accurate ASC 842 compliance and SEC disclosures.

Requires 4+ years of accounting experience, strong NetSuite/Excel skills, and knowledge of ASC 330 and ASC 842. Hybrid work in Sunnyvale with collaboration across Facilities, Procurement, Legal, and Finance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Four or more years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, hardware, or infrastructure-heavy environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, inventory valuation, ASC 330, and ASC 842 lease accounting.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Strong NetSuite and Excel skills including pivots, lookups, and data modeling.
  • Experience with Power Query or similar automation tools is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze large, sometimes unstructured data sets and meet close deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly close and financial reporting for inventory, manufacturing cost, and global lease portfolios.
  • Own monthly inventory subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliations, investigate variances, and prepare journal entries.
  • Calculate and account for inventory rebates, yield losses, allocations, freight, tariffs, and other costs.
  • Monitor inventory classifications across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Analyze inventory movements, cost changes, variances, yield, scrap, and obsolete inventory.
  • Support inventory reserve, write-off, and audit documentation.
  • Execute monthly accounting for global data center and office lease portfolio under ASC 842; journal entries, reconciliations, rollforwards, schedules, disclosures.
  • Review lease arrangements and coordinate accounting conclusions; maintain lease population with cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare quarter-end lease schedules and disclosures; support internal and external audits.
  • Maintain process documentation and control evidence for inventory and lease close.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and resolve issues.
  • Improve and automate recurring processes while maintaining review and controls.

Job description


  • Support monthly close and financial reporting for inventory, manufacturing cost, and global lease portfolios

  • Own monthly inventory subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliations, investigate variances, and prepare journal entries and close support

  • Calculate and account for inventory rebates, wafer manufacturing yield losses, manufacturing and facilities allocations, freight, tariffs, and other inventory-related costs

  • Monitor inventory classification across raw materials, work in process, and finished goods, including inventory held at contract manufacturers and third‑party locations

  • Analyze inventory movements, cost changes, manufacturing variances, yield, scrap, and excess and obsolete inventory

  • Support inventory reserve, write-off, disposition analyses, physical inventory counts, and audit documentation

  • Execute monthly accounting for the global data center and office lease portfolio under ASC 842, including journal entries, reconciliations, rollforwards, payment schedules, and flux analysis

  • Review new, modified, and terminated lease arrangements and coordinate accounting conclusions

  • Maintain lease population completeness by partnering with Facilities, Procurement, Legal, and Accounts Payable

  • Prepare quarter‑end lease schedules and support financial statement disclosures and SEC reporting

  • Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits

  • Maintain process documentation and control evidence for inventory and lease close activities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve upstream data quality, resolve transaction issues, and explain financial statement impacts

  • Improve and automate recurring processes, including responsible use of AI-enabled tools while maintaining review and control procedures


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Four or more years of progressive accounting experience

  • Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, hardware, or infrastructure-intensive environments is preferred

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including inventory valuation and costing under ASC 330 and lease accounting under ASC 842

  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred

  • Strong NetSuite and Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data modeling

  • Experience with Power Query, lease accounting systems, or similar automation tools is a plus

  • Ability to analyze large and sometimes unstructured datasets, document conclusions, manage competing priorities, and meet close deadlines

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with finance and operational stakeholders

  • Ability to work three days per week in the Sunnyvale office

  • Must satisfy applicable U.S. export‑control requirements or obtain required authorization
