Job summary

Wise is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to lead the implementation and daily management of its operational risk framework for the Wise US Broker Dealer franchise in Austin, TX. You will shape risk/controls, drive issue remediation, and build dashboards to report KRIs and risk appetite to leadership.

You will partner with first-line teams, oversee risk assessments, and help embed a proactive risk culture across the business, enabling safe product launches and scalable controls for borderless money

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise/operational risk management and risk reporting.
• Proven ability to map controls and perform risk assessments across processes.
• Comfort with data-driven problem solving and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive implementation and day-to-day management of the risk framework focusing on Operational risk.
• Define key risks in end-to-end processes and map controls.
• Design scalable control monitoring programs and dashboards.
• Guide first line teams in documenting and prioritising control gaps and remediation.
• Oversee remediation activities and validate closure of issues.
• Develop KRIs and risk appetite statements.
• Create dashboards reporting on risk indicators and insights using analytics tools.
• Coordinate quarterly residual risk assessments and reporting to risk committees and the local board.
• Collaborate with product teams to identify operational risks before launches.
