Wise is seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist to join the North America Financial Crime Compliance Oversight team in Austin, TX. You will provide second‑line oversight of AML and fraud controls across the US and Canada, translating regulatory requirements into practical controls and partnering cross-functionally to drive improvements.

You will review control designs, advise on regulatory obligations, use MI/KRIs to identify gaps, and support governance and reporting to regulators.

Competenze

• Strong working knowledge of US and Canadian AML/CTF requirements.
• Hands-on experience with AML and Fraud controls in financial services or fintech.
• Ability to translate regulatory obligations into practical control expectations.
• Experience reviewing, challenging or improving controls and investigations.

Mansioni

• Provide second-line oversight of AML and Fraud controls across the US and Canada.
• Review and challenge first-line control design and changes, including new products or features.
• Advise regional and global teams on AML/CTF requirements and Wise policies.
• Use MI and KRIs to identify trends, exceptions and gaps; track remediation to closure.
• Contribute to financial crime risk assessments and horizon scanning.
• Support suspicious activity reporting governance and SAR processes.
• Prepare concise, decision-ready documentation for auditors and regulators.
• Own medium-complexity work end to end and share knowledge.
