Job summary

Golub Capital in Chicago is seeking a Vice President to support risk identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting across the firm, with emphasis on Internal Control Testing. The role requires strong management skills to develop plans, track progress and deliver enhancements to the ORM framework.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in financial services risk management, strong analytical and communication abilities, and professional certifications such as CIA, FRM or ORM certificate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3-5 years of financial services experience in risk management, audit or related areas.
• Certifications preferred: Operational Risk Management Certificate, CIA, FRM.
• Knowledge of internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work across levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining the ORM risk mitigation framework.
• Support risk mitigation programs with focus on Internal Control Testing.
• Perform periodic testing to assess adherence to controls and policies.
• Create and maintain operational risk reporting for senior management.
• Identify, track and analyze operational risks and drive improvements.
• Drive risk identification and assessment, challenge assumptions and ensure quality evaluations.
• Represent the team at internal meetings and promote a robust risk culture.
